But the response was good and very helpful. After I set it to the actual NORMAL mode, the drives still would not come up. They replied back with the same day and explained the toggles better than the instructions manual (which I commented about). Now HonetTek doesn't have a Support Section per say so I used their contact us form. Well, this caused the drives to wiped of their formatting.?Enter Customer Support. The graphics in the manual are misleading. The instructions manual is not very clear on the toggle settings and I set the toggles to JOBD (Just one big drive) because the instructions seem to show this setting as the NORMAL mode setting. The instructions state no reformatting required for drives if installed in NORMAL mode (two separate drives). Where things went bad: I installed two seagate drives. It is easy to open and install either 2.5' or 3.5' drives. There are plenty out there but I choose this one.The metal case is rigid and sturdy and better crafted than I thought it would be. The next solution is a new enclosure with the 3.1 Gen2 option. As many may discover, finding an external hard drive with USB 3.1 Gen-2 connections is sort of slime in the economy drives.
